Add MyAbsence

My Absence allows the user to view/amend and record notified absences. It also allows user to upload and store documents associated with each absence record. This displays both approved and not approved to not affect % attendance absence. bsences entered by students via the student portal automatically displayed as not approved.

1. Click on the menu icon on the left side.

2. Click on My Absence from the drop down list.

3. Click on the "+" Add Absence button.

4. Enter the information required on the page.

5. Choose a reason from the drop downlist provided.

6, Click Save

7. Click "Ok" to save Absence

8. Click "Yes" to confirm save absence

If the student clicks on No, the Absence request is cancelled.

7. Click reset if the absence request is void.

8. Click on clip icon to add documentation.

Once an Absence has been added.

  • Students can attach a file to the Absence record by clicking the paperclip icon  for the Absence.
  • Select a Category and add a Description for the document
  • The Document List shows all previous documents added which can be selected again

9. Enter the relevant details.

10. Categorize the document type and description.

11. Click on the Next button to continue

12. Upload documentation.

The student has two options [Choose from storage or Take photo], please note this process is same as uploading the student profile photo.

The behaviour of document upload will vary depending on the device being used

  • Mobile users can use their device camera to upload a photo
  • iPhone/iOS users may need to follow the instructions presented on the screen.

13. Select an option to upload document.

  • The user has the option to take a photo from their device or upload a photo from their device’s local storage.
  • Exact behaviour of each option is varies based on the device being used.
  • The take photo option is not available directly on iOS devices, camera function must be called via the Choose file option.
