Introduction

The Absence record will automatically be added to the TDS Student application where the administrators can approve the absence and remove the impact on the student’s attendance record shown below. The user utilises menu links to simultaneously open andposition any number of data portlets on a working dashboard. All of the portlets operate in the same straightforward manner thus enabling the user to become comfortable using the system quickly.

User Roles

As part of V6.7 release two new system user Roles have ben introduced.

  • SP-Administrator
  • SP-Student

Installation

  • Reference Data

Be sure the below items are setup in the Reference Data Section

  1. Document Category
  2. Absence Reason
  • Help

Go to System Settings, find the student_portal_help_url item and click edit.

Enter the url of the relevant webpage. (e.g. www.tds.ie)

For those using the native apps, the web page will open in the app browser, for those using a web browser a new page/tab will be opened.
