The Academic Period portlet maintains the approximate Start and End dates of the Academic Period and the Semesters/Terms within that period. This is used to supply default date ranges to the portlet in TDS Student. This data does not need to be entered every year, instead it only needs to be entered when the system is setup and if the structure of the academic periods within the organisation change.
