Message Hub
Click on Message Hub of the Dashboards Menu List.
The Message Hub Dashboard consists of 4 sections.
- Topice Manager
- Topic Generator
- Message Logs
- Communication Logs
Generate a new Topic on The Topic Generator
Enter the relevant information on the Topic Generator widget.
The student can be chosen from the combobox as shown above.
Ensure the new topic created can be viewed under Topic Manager.
Open the record of the new topic created.
As you can see the the new topic should be seen on the grid with its status showing "Active".
Click on the active record on the grid.
The message created in the topic generator can be viewed on the message logs widget. when the student replies to the lecturer on the student Portal. It can be viewed on this widget. The student in question will be notified by the student portal Application. The student shall be able to see the message of the Lecturer on the Message Hub of the student portal application.
View the message on the Student Portal Application.
The student can reply to the Lecturer and send the message. The lecturer will see the 2 new messages on the Topic Manager, under the column Unread meassages.
The Lecturer can identify new messages on the topic Manager.
The Message Logs can be viewed in detail on the Message Logs widget.
The Communication logs contains all emails sent between the Administrator and the student.
